Michael’s career has been incredibly diverse, spanning various industries, including sales, law, entertainment, and teaching. From the beginning, he has showed a love and commitment for learning and honing his skills.
Michael’s career in the entertainment industry began in 1986 at New Line Cinema LLC. Here he worked in various departments including sales, operations, and later the story department. After a few years, Michael went on to work at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, Miramax, and Green Flower. Currently, Michael is working with Cadence13 as a producer. One of his most recent projects is Green Flower Nation, a podcast series that explores the impact of cannabis on society.
Michael’s teaching career began in 2005 as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Stern School of Business where he taught Movie Marketing and Business of Independent Film. Afterwards, he began teaching at the University of Southern California for the following courses: Acquiring, Producing & Marketing Feature Films, Entertainment Marketing in the Digital Age, and the Business of the Motion Picture Studio. Michael continues to teach at USC, along with occasional Guest Professor appearances at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
